With Valentine's Day around the corner and in light of so many businesses continuing to struggle due to the pandemic, I thought I'd focus this year's gift guide on some of my favorite local shops. If you don't live in Sarasota, don't worry! This list can still be really helpful as many of these stores sell their products online, so you'll still be able to help support a small business. It can also serve as inspiration for locally-owned shops in your town!

Say you'll be WINE this Valentine's Day! Even though this is my in-law's wine shop, I highly recommend checking them out if you enjoy Italian wine that you won't find at most stores. I tell everyone I know about my favorite prosecco, Pra' Della Luna, and how you can score it here under $12! Be sure to grab a bottle for your romantic dinner at home or your Galentine's Day get-together.

Sweet dreams are made of brie, who am I to dis a brie? Charcuterie and Cheese in Sarasota offers gourmet grazing boxes, charcuterie boards and platters, and is absolutely delicious! The Cozy Box is ideal for 2 people and the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day on the beach or at home.
Tropical Shores Gourmet Popcorn
A movie night with a bowl of popcorn is a great way to spend a cozy night in! This gourmet popcorn shop will always hold a special place in my heart because I worked there briefly in college. Not only is their popcorn amazing, but they're always coming out with fun flavors like their seasonal Cupid's Corn for Valentine's Day. In case you need some recommendations, my favorite flavors are Dill Pickle, Tuxedo, Hot Wings and Baked Potato.
Victoria’s Flower Bar
Send a special someone in your life a bouquet of flowers! This online floral boutique is based in Southwest Florida and offers beautifully wrapped arrangements filled with a mixture of seasonal blooms and greens. I definitely wouldn't complain if these flowers showed up on my doorstep!
Vogue Society Boutique
Need a last-minute outfit for your Valentine's Day dinner? Kait and Sharon own this trendy boutique in Sarasota, and it's honestly one of my absolute favorite spots for finding cute clothing, shoes, accessories and other unique items that you won't always find in other stores. Grab something for yourself or snag a gift card for your bestie!

Looking for a couple's activity that's a little different and promotes your overall wellness? Try a whole body Cryotherapy session with your special someone! Some of the added benefits are a boosted immune system, faster muscle recovery, reduced chronic pain, reduced inflammation and fatigue, improved sleep and much more.
PAINT Nail Bar
Treat yourself to a manicure or pedicure during the month of love! While PAINT Nail Bar is now technically a franchise operation, their flagship location is Sarasota, which I think is so awesome. They also only utilize vegan, formaldehyde-free lacquers and LED, which means no U/V, lamps for curing their water-based gel lacquers! Their location is also super cute, clean and you even get a free mimosa during your service.
