Our Honeymoon Cruise on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas

After months of planning and stressing over the tiniest details for our wedding, Michael and I knew right away choosing a cruise for our honeymoon destination was the best decision we ever made. We've only sailed one other time and it was with a different cruise line, so we were really excited to experience Royal Caribbean after hearing so many good things. After doing some research on the different ships and itineraries, we ultimately decided on the Navigator of the Seas out of Port Miami.

Navigator of the Seas recently underwent renovations earlier this year, so we felt like it would be best to choose a ship that just got a revamp. We were also really intrigued by The Blaster, the cruise line’s first-ever aqua coaster and the longest waterslide at sea. Another new addition that caught our eyes was El Loco Fresh, an included dining option on the pool deck that featured tacos, quesadillas, nachos and more.

From the moment we stepped on the ship, we were blown away by Royal Caribbean. Below I've created a recap on why we'll continue to sail with Royal Caribbean in the future and why you should definitely check them out if you haven't before!

Service: I can't say enough wonderful things about the service on this cruise line. From the waitstaff and our cabin steward to random workers on the ship and bartenders, everyone was so friendly. One of the things that stuck out to me the most was the bar service. I could be walking up to the bar to order my cocktail and I would have 3-4 bartenders asking me what I'd like to order. Then, as I'd wait for my drink to be made, 3-4 bartenders would check to make sure I had been helped. This didn't happen just once either! It literally happened at every bar we went to throughout our trip.

Food: I've heard mixed things about food on cruise lines, either it's really gross or really amazing. In Royal Caribbean's case, it was amazing. Whether you're fueling up or sitting down for fine dining, the options don't disappoint. We dined at the Windjammer Marketplace for most of our breakfast and lunch meals, which allowed you to explore the world dish by dish buffet style. For dinner, we ate in the main dining room, which is an experience in itself. Each night, your dedicated wait staff offers a fantastic experience along with a new menu for an unforgettable evening.

Entertainment: The only problem you'll have on Navigator of the Seas is deciding what shows and activities you want to do. Every day, there's something fun going on while you're onboard and it's always top-notch. One of our favorites was the comedy show featuring Jim David. We were literally laughing so hard the entire hour we couldn't breathe. Some other shows we really enjoyed was Battles of the Sexes and Crazy Quest. The quality of the entertainment and the talent is really astounding and it's hard to not want to stay on the ship all day while you're in port because of the fun activities!

Efficiency: Royal Caribbean definitely has efficiency on their cruise line accomplished. Boarding the ship was literally painless thanks to their advanced online check-in where you upload your photo. This made getting on the ship even faster than usual. Disembarking was also a stress-free experience, which was refreshing because on our last cruise it was not. Throughout our trip, we never experienced long wait times whether it was for quick-service food, dining in the main dining room, drinks or even our luggage being delivered to us. Navigator of the Seas can fit just under 4,000 people, so it's extremely impressive how efficient they are despite this!

Unfortunately, all good trips come to an end but we'll definitely be sailing with Royal Caribbean in the future! No matter your age or even your interests, you'll be sure to find something to enjoy on one of their ships. To learn more about Navigator of the Seas, click here!
