Your Guide to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Even though the temperature isn't dropping in Florida anytime soon, there's no reason Floridians can't join in on the fall fun! While going on a hayride and picking pumpkins may be slightly less enjoyable due to the 90° heat, Walt Disney World makes it better with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

If you haven't heard of MNSSHP, it's an annual event that is held select nights from September to October at Magic Kingdom. The actual event starts at 7 p.m. but you can get into Magic Kingdom starting at 4 p.m., which is something you must do to maximize your time spent at the park. This is a separate ticketed event, so you must buy a MNSSHP ticket even if you're at Magic Kingdom earlier that day. Upon entering the park, you will receive a wristband to prove your admission to the park and cast members will ask to see your wristband if it's not visible.

MNSSHP is basically an after-dark event where you can dress up in halloween costumes and go trick or treating around the park. Not all of the attractions are open, but a dozen of the most popular rides are as well as restaurants and gift shops! If you don't feel like dressing up in costume, you can still trick or treat (literally any age is allowed). Even just seeing the park decorated with pumpkins and scarecrows will put you in a festive mood.

One of the most important tips for attending MNSSHP is to grab a park map as soon as you walk in. These maps have everything you need to know from what attractions are open, where the treat locations are to where you can dine and when the fireworks shoot off.

Below is a helpful guide for attending this year's event! If you're looking to attend this year's event, the following dates are left: 10/8, 10/9, 10/11, 10/12, 10/14, 10/16, 10/18, 10/19, 10/21, 10/23, 10/25, 10/26, 10/28, 10/30 and 10/31.
